In the fall semester of 2007 Montgomery College introduced student email accounts for every credit student. These accounts are automatically created for each student and are accessible through the college's portal (MyMC). This access provides email as an official communication tool of the college which can be used to communicate sensitive material to each student. Such communication may include project grades for individual courses as well as final grades for the course.
With the expected high use of student email, it is important to inform faculty and staff of the capabilities and expectations for use of email in official communications. To that end, this site has been developed. It is purely for the information of faculty and staff, and should not be construed to represent official college policy (although where policy is clearly stated this site will attempt to incorporate those statements).

Although any system will change over time, as of January 2008 a set of video tutorials were developed to show the basic features and functions of the MyMC Student Email system. These tutorials will open in a separate window.
